Kiwi Lane Blog Hop and GIVEAWAY!!

hey there! you are on the right track if you are heading on over from the fabulous blog of Megan Klauer!

so i LOVE starting the year with some creative time, a blog hop and a GIVEAWAY! YAY!
(a winner of a $25 gift certificate to use at Kiwi Lane will be given at random from the comments on ANY of the blogs on the hop!!)

i was fortunate enough to meet Kristy Lee (of Kiwi Lane) this last summer at CHA!
THIS is a dedicated lady!! when she joined the team/working force at Kiwi Lane, i just KNEW it had
to be a great company! and hey, any excuse to try something new!

Kiwi Lane caught my attention when their products came available on Scrapbook Steals.
i was intrigued! i love my Cameo-but i also love my punches still... and things that make the process
easier, with minimal set up time. i'll admit it. i have little patience for the process!

so when Kristy asked me to design a layout using a set of templates AND to think outside the box, i was on board! YAY!

i am not a "inside the box" kind of scrapper... let's call it "eclectic".

i used this template from the set.

i kinda just let it sit on my table for awhile... waiting for an idea to formulate!
i knew i wanted it to be random... my speciality.

with the same template/curve, i traced out various lines coming from a point at one side...

then, since i knew i was going to use mist, i cut a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper in "half' using the same template, so i could use it to block off areas i wasn't misting, right along the lines i traced.

to make the sections that were paper, i set my paper used to mask off misted areas, held them against the lines i traced and traced the patterned paper.

i also used one section for journaling, and one section to stamp "instagram" repeatedly. (studio calico date stamp). the lettering was done using letter stickers as a mask...

some embellishment and some doodling, and there ya have it!

thank you Kiwi Lane, for bringing out some much needed creativity!

so leave a comment, and head on over to the next blog!!
